Please help me and BMS to support Tusk! I’m running 26.2 miles across the Kenyan wilderness — sun, dust, and wildlife included. I’ll be sweating, stumbling and probably questioning my life choices, but it’s for an incredible cause. Every donation counts!
My Story
In what may prove to be a triumph of optimism over athletic ability, I’ve signed up to run the Lewa Safari Marathon on 27 June 2026 to raise funds for Tusk and the conservation work they support across Africa.
With no marathon experience and a desk as my natural habitat, it won’t be easy — but the cause behind the Lewa Safari Marathon makes the challenge (and the blisters) more than worthwhile.
Tusk partners with 75 conservation projects in 26 countries and has invested more than £130 million in protecting wildlife and natural habitats. Their work benefits over 40 threatened species and helps protect more than 50 million hectares of wild ecosystems, including vital freshwater and coastal marine habitats. Importantly, Tusk’s work supports people as well as wildlife, with more than 10 million people benefiting from projects promoting sustainable conservation and supporting local communities.
Any donation, however small, will help support these efforts and keep me motivated through the training and the race itself.
