Our Story

We are taking part in the Lewa Safari Half Marathon on 27th June 2026 to help raise vital funds for Tusk - a charity that does incredible work to protect endangered animals in Africa.

100% of the funds raised will go directly to Tusk. We have chosen to support them because:

Tusk partners with 75 projects across 26 countries across Africa
Tusk has invested over £130 million in direct conservation activity
Over 40 threatened species benefit from Tusk's projects - including the critically endangered black rhino and Grevy's zebra that inhabit Lewa, where we'll be running
Tusk's work helps to protect more than 50 million hectares of wild ecosystems, including vital freshwater and coastal marine habitats
Tusk has a strong focus on community empowerment and partnership, reducing the risk of poaching for financial means. More than 10 million people benefit from Tusk's work

The half marathon route takes us through the Lewa Conservancy, which is one of the world's most important nature reserves.
